The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is the global organization for the engineering profession. Founded in 1968, under the auspices of UNESCO, WFEO brings together national engineering institutions from some 100 nations and represents more than 30 million engineers.

WFEO GREE Award
WFEO and Gree Electric Appliances announce the Winner of the 2024 Women in Engineering Award, which recognizes women engineers across the world who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the engineering field.
UNEP HQ in Kenya
On 12 October 2024, WFEO President Mustafa Shehu visited the UN Environment Program (UNEP) global headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where he met Dr. Rose Mwabaza, Director and Regional Representative for Africa.
World Robot Conference
The 8th World Robot Conference 2024 (WRC 2024), supported by WFEO and co organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), was held from 21 to 25 August 2024 in Beijing, China.
UN-Water meeting
Ignacio González-Castelao, the Chair of the Water Committee, participates in the 40th meeting of UN-Water which took place on 4-5 November at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
WFEO-UNESCO Agreement
The Framework Agreement between WFEO and UNESCO has been renewed. WFEO President Mustafa Shehu and UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences Dr. Lidia Brito signed the Agreement which will expire in March 2032.
1st meeting of the IDSSD Executive Ctee
The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development 2024-2033 (IDSSD) took place at the UNESCO HQ in Paris, on 4 September 2024. WFEO President Mustafa Shehu attended the meeting.
WIE webinar to celebrate INWED
The WFEO Committee on Women in Engineering organized the webinar “The Lives of Women: Enhanced by Engineering” in celebration of the International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on Friday 21 June 2024.
