The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is the global organization for the engineering profession. Founded in 1968, under the auspices of UNESCO, WFEO brings together national engineering institutions from some 100 nations and represents more than 30 million engineers.

World Engineering Day
2025 GEC & WFEO GA
The Global Engineering Congress 2025 and the WFEO General Assembly will be held in Shanghai from 12 to 17 October 2025. The main theme will be “Engineering shapes a green future”.
WFEO GREE Award
WFEO and Gree Electric Appliances announce the Winner of the 2024 Women in Engineering Award, which recognizes women engineers across the world who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the engineering field.
WCSL Conference 2024
The 2024 World Conference on Science Literacy (WCSL), sponsored by CAST, UNESCO, ISC, WFEO and TWAS was successfully held in Beijing from 5 to 6 December 2024.
Engineering, Water and Food Nexus
The WFEO Standing Technical Committee on Water has published the book “Engineering, Water and Food Nexus”. This book had the generous collaboration of 33 specialists from 10 countries.
WIOT Convention 2024
The (9th) World Internet of Things (IoT) Convention 2024, themed “Opening Up a New Era of the Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy”, was held from 3 to 5 November in Beijing, China.
WFEO-UNESCO Agreement
The Framework Agreement between WFEO and UNESCO has been renewed. WFEO President Mustafa Shehu and UNESCO ADG for Natural Sciences Dr. Lidia Brito signed the Agreement which will expire in 2032.
EIMIAA Conference
The Order of Engineers, Portugal hosted the Encuentro Iberoamericano de Mujeres Ingenieras, Arquitectas y Agrimensoras (EIMIAA) conference in Lisbon, Portugal, from 18 to 21 November 2024.
CILAC 2024
The Latin American and Caribbean Open Science Forum was held in San Andres Island, Colombia, from 2 to 4 December 2024. It is the largest scientific and technological policy meeting in Latin America and the Caribbean.
