The 8th World Robot Conference 2024 (WRC 2024), supported by WFEO and co organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), was held from 21 to 25 August 2024 in Beijing, China.
The WRC 2024 aimed at promoting scientific and technological progress under the new industrial development trends in the world. It was the opportunity for participants to network with the international robotic community, to take advantage of international resources, to attract innovation resources, to use the platform for further international cooperation in the field of robotics and constructing long-term cooperation mechanism.

He also stated that these technologies have been applied in the fields such as construction, transportation, and healthcare, improving productivity and efficiency. However, the development of robotics also faces challenges related to social ethics, environment, and sustainability. Further emphasized on the need on ensuring transparency and compliance with policies and regulatory rules while minimising environmental impact.
In the subsequent panel discussion that Er. Tan participated in (at 1’46’35 on the above Youtube video), he further emphasized that while promoting the development of the robotics industry, it is also necessary to consider various aspects such as education, technology, and governance in the field of robotics, with different projects having different directions for cooperation.
