WFEO President-Elect Seng Chuan Tan’s participation to the Chongqing International Talent Exchange Conference

The Chongqing International Talent Exchange Conference, themed “Pooling Talent in New Chongqing, Joining Efforts for a New Future,” was held from 23 to 24 November at the Yuelai International Convention Center in Chongqing, China.

The Conference was co-hosted by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Western Returned Scholars Association.

The conference’s aim was to accelerate the construction of the “4+16” Strategic Framework for the Science, Technology, and Innovation and the “3+3+6+18” System of Modern Manufacturing Cluster, turning Chongqing into a talent magnet and innovation hub in Western China.

Er. Tan Seng Chuan, Emeritus President of IES and President-Elect of WFEO, gave a keynote on “Global Trends and Challenges in Engineering Talent Development” and inspired young engineers with his speech on “Enabling Young Leaders for a Future of Global Innovation”.
