Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation training program on “Leading Practices in Project Management and Engineering for Future Project Managers”

The four-day training program on “Leading Practices in Project Management and Engineering for Future Project Managers” was held between 2 and 5 June 2024 at the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECC) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

It was organized by the ECC’s Continuous Professional Development Institute with support from the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers (EACE), WFEO and the PMI Ethiopia Chapter.

The program offered an invaluable opportunity for professional development for aspiring project managers and it aimed to equip participants with essential skills for success in the construction industry.
 

 
Conducted both in person and virtually, the program attracted many participants who engaged deeply with a comprehensive range of topics crucial for successful project execution in construction projects. Sessions covered project planning methodologies, effective resource allocation strategies, risk assessment and mitigation techniques, and the integration of engineering principles into project management frameworks. Interactive discussions enriched the learning experience, allowing attendees to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios prevalent in construction and engineering projects.

Feedback from participants highlighted the meticulous organization of the training, the expertise of the trainers, and the program’s relevance in preparing them for future leadership roles within the construction sector. The training featured esteemed speakers, including:
